They don't appear to have switched on the in-game currency stuff (known as Astros) as yet, but once the full game goes live it looks you'll be microtranscating hats and gloves and attack dogs. The open beta runs until March 25h, and doesn't require any faffing about with keys and stuff, though you do need to create an account and use some bespoke downloader app, from here. Of course, there are ways and means to pretend to be American, but hopefully they'll make it open to all comers soon. Update: doesn't appear to be live in all territories as yet. But you are under no such restrictions, which means you can play the game right now. Why? Because of a gypsy curse, of course. I'll be honest with you again: I will almost certainly never play Tactical Intervention, the new multiplayer shooter from Counter-Strike co-creator Minh "Gooseman" Le. I'll be honest with you: I have two middle names.
